अरु पता सुनते हुए देख रहा हैं कि उस बस से कुछ और लोग भी उतर रहे है ।जिनमें एक सुंदर सी लड़की भी उतरि है जो फोन पर बात कर रही है । उसने सोचा इसी से पता पूछ लू, पर वो बात करती हुए गाँव कि ओर जा रही है। अरु ने भी फोन पर पता लिया और उसके पीछे-पीछे चलने लगा। लड़की देखने मे तो अच्छी हि दिख रही है पर आजु बाजु के लॉगो पर ध्यान दिए बिना, किसी से ऐसे बात करना अच्छा नहीं है। अरु ने उससे पता नहीं पूछा, क्योंकि उसकी बात बीच मे रोकना नहीं चाहता। अरु ने सोचा चलो एक से भले दो,चलो जहां तक चलना है पर पता तो तुमसे हि पुछना हैं। रास्ता पैदल हि चलना है। अरु भी बड़ा शरारती है उसे क्या शरारत सूझी देखो ,उसके और अरु बीच कुछ हि कदमो का फासला हैं और अरु उतना हि स्पीड मे चल रहा हैं जितना कि वो लड़की ,वो यदि ज्यादा तेज चलें तो अरु भी तेज चलने लगाता वो धीमा चलें तो अरु भी धीमा चलता। दोनों के बीच का ना तो फासला बढ़ने देता ना घटने देता। शायद उस लड़की ने ये बात नोटिस कर ली है तभी तो वो फोन पर जिससे भी बात कर रही है। उसे मेरे बारे मे बता रही है कि कोई उसका पीछा कर रहा है।अरु उनके इतना दुरी पर है कि उसकि बातें सुन सकता है। पर उसे क्या वो तो अपना काम कर रहा है। आधे घंटे पीछा करने के बाद लड़की का घर आ गया जो कि गाँव कि लास्ट वाली गली मे है।वो घर के सामने खड़ी हो गई फोन रख दिया और अरु को देखने लगी, उसके मन का हाल तो वो जाने पर अरु को लगा कि अब तो उसकी खैर नहीं। उसने सोचा अपन तो अब गए समझो। फिर भी अरु ने हिम्मत कि और पास जाकर पूछा दीदी ये पता बता देंगे क्या। अब तो पता नहीं अरु ने उसे क्या बोल दिया उसने अपनी भौहें सिकोड़ते हुए अरु को बड़ी बड़ी आँखो से घुरा, शायद उसका पीछा करना उसे अच्छा लगा, लेकिन दीदी बोलना उतना हि बुरा। सड़ा सा मुंह बनाते हुए गुसैल आवाज मे बड़ी जोर से कहा मम्मी............... देखो तो ये भैया कुछ पूछ रहे है। ऐसे बोलती हूयी वो अंदर को चली गई, तभी अंदर से एक औरत अपने हाथ मे चारपाई लेकर बहार आती हुई बोली कौन हो तुम कहा से आ रहे हो ,अरु ने कहा मेरा नाम अरु है मेरे गाँव का नाम कुपनिर है मेरी दीदी का नाम लघुलती है मैं उनके घर मेहमान आया हूँ। दीदी कहा रहती है ? उसने अपनी खटिया धूप मे बिछा ली और मुझे बैठने का इशारा करते हुए बोली, आप कि दीदी खेतों का काम करने गई है उसने एक घर कि ओर इशारा करते हुए कहा। वो घर तुम्हारी दीदी का है। वो श्याम तक हि वापिस लौट पायेगी। तब अरु क्या करता उनके दरवाजे पर ताला लगा है अरु भी खटिया पर जा बैठा फिर थोड़ी देर मे गाँव कि हि कुछ औरते इकठा हो गई फिर क्या, ऐसे शोरगुल हो रहा है मनो मेला लगा हो।
